Regularly scheduled sails aboard the s/v Kelly Allen are available each afternoon during the season (Memorial Day through Labor Day). Sails leave the Old Yacht Basin in Southport in the late afternoon, returning at sunset. During the summer months, departures will be at 17:00 (that's 5:00 pm for landlubbers) during the week. Weekend sails are scheduled as to availability of the boat and crew, weather, tides and currents. Weekday morning or afternoon sails are available upon request. Our rates for 2009 are $60.00 per passenger. Complimentary beverages are served while underway, and you may bring aboard any snacks, additional beverages or meals that you wish.
Your cruise will last three hours, and will take you out through the mouth of the Cape Fear River into the Atlantic. The exact route and schedule is not determined until we leave the dock, as this is the best way to insure the comfort, safety and enjoyment of our passengers.
Sailing in the waters off the Cape Fear is a year round adventure, and sailing charters are availing in any month, time, temperature, tides and conditions permitting. Contact us to determine availability.
We are limited by US Coast Guard regulations to six passengers on any cruise. Should you have less than six in your party, you may be introduced to new friends as you explore the waters of the Cape Fear.
Should you wish to reserve the boat exclusively for you and your guests, the charge will be for six passengers. Please contact us should you wish to schedule a longer sail or have special requirements.
